Dear Unison Community,
We wanted to reach out to share our decision to switch the charity we’ll be supporting for Unison 4 this weekend. Instead of the Oakland Fund for Public Innovation COVID-19 Relief Fund, we’ll support The Community Foundation Santa Cruz County. They’ve established a Fire Response Fund to aid residents who have been displaced by the CZU fire. While we feel the Oakland Fund is a fantastic charity, we also realized the fires are top of mind for those of us in California. Many people we know have needed to evacuate and some have lost their homes. Changing the beneficiary the week of the event was a difficult decision but we felt the right one for the broader Unison community.
While donations are critical, and we will be helping that way this coming weekend, The Community Foundation is looking for help in other ways too. If you can spare supplies and/or your time, Santa Cruz County needs you.

While the world outside feels unusually morbid, we don’t want to lose sight of all the talent, creativity and fun we’ll be showcasing for you this weekend. Please join us for fab music, amazing visuals, magical togetherness and uproarious silliness this Friday and Saturday. It might be a respite from the challenging realities of 2020.
With Love,
Team Unison
